D Y Patil Dnyanshanti School
Is your child shy and avoids social interaction with others? Some children may also find it difficult to express their thoughts verbally.
DYPDSS has a solution; conversation games. These games help develop speaking, listening, logical thinking, and reasoning skills while improving your child's vocabulary. Conversation games are also a fun family activity to bond more with your child.
Here are 3 games to get the conversation going:
-
Story A - Z
A player begins a story or a conversation chain with a sentence that starts with the first alphabet, A, for instance, "Are you there?" The next person would continue with the next sentence, starting with the letter in the alphabet, B, and might say, "Behind the door". The game goes on with each player adding to the chain in alphabetical order. To switch things up, you can also reverse the order, starting with Z and ending with A.
-
Facts or Fiction
In this game, each person takes turns telling two things that are true about themselves and one thing that is not. The other players must guess what is the right fact and what is fiction. This game tends to generate interesting discussions about past experiences, especially when people share facts about themselves that no one could have ever imagined!

What's Better?
This is a short and quick game that asks children to choose between two things, for instance:
"What's better - banana or apple?"
"What's better – chocolate or potato chips?"
Each person gets a turn to make up the questions themselves. You can consider feeling free to expand the categories. from books, TV shows, sports - anything is fair game!
